Description:
This position involves working in a post-surgical unit with a variety of specialties including gastrointestinal, vascular, thoracic, bariatric, urology, and peritoneal dialysis. The unit has a capacity of 36 beds, serving patients ranging from young adults to late adults (18 - 60+ years old). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with a core staffing plan that includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns. The RN is responsible for full care management of the patients assigned to their team. A commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork is essential.
