Maintenance Mechanic 1st Class at CSL Behring summary: The Maintenance Mechanic 1st Class is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions. Reporting Relationships: Role that this position reports to: Maintenance Services Supervisor and/or Maintenance Services VS Sr Manager Role/s that report to this position: None Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing personal network. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Completes any other duties/responsibilities assigned by senior management. Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Education: High school diploma, although or general education degree (GED) preferred Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or Trade Certificate Experience 3 years in Maintenance experience 1 year in area of expertise (e.g. Electronics, Electricity, Refrigeration, Machinist, Machine Repair, Millwright) Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility or regulated environment strongly desired.
