WE'RE HIRING FLUXCORE WELDERS NSC has an urgent need for structural fluxcore steel welders for shipbuilding production welding in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Job Responsibilities Use a wide range of welding filler metals and welding processes to perform structural welds in all phases of ship construction. Use various welding processes including 2G, 3G, and 4G FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding, using .052 wire). Test required on a 3/8" plate V Groove with a steel backing strip. All completed tests will be inspected visually and will have 1 face and 1 root bend. Weld in all positions using both manual and mechanized processes; welds must satisfy all nondestructive test requirements (visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radiographic inspection). Perform these functions in environments of extreme heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions within the shipyard environment. Troubleshoot minor welding equipment problems. Must be able to work on all shifts. Local rate is available. Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay based on experience - Your hourly pay will be determined after you complete the welding test.
