Job description We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our manufacturing shop team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and finished goods between our manufacturing facility and various locations. The primary vehicle for this role is a Ford F550 truck. This is a full-time position with working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The compensation range for this role is dependent on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities: Safely operate the Ford F550 truck to transport materials, equipment, and finished goods to and from designated locations. Load and unload items from the truck, ensuring proper securing and protection of cargo during transportation. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians. Plan efficient routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods while maximizing fuel efficiency. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any other required documentation. Communicate effectively with the manufacturing shop team to coordinate delivery schedules and address any specific requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, including regular cleaning and routine maintenance tasks. Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, dress code, and professional conduct. Qualifications: Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with operating a Ford F550 truck or similar vehicles is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize and complete deliveries efficiently. Ability to read and understand maps, GPS systems, and other navigation tools. Physical fitness and stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks, often involving heavy or bulky items. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and coordinate delivery schedules. Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime as needed.
