Description
(1) Part-Time (24 hours) LPN/RN - flexible schedule

SUMMARY: Works under the general supervision of the Unit Manager and the Director of Resident Care Services, to provide quality professional, nursing care to nursing facility residents and supervises assigned nursing staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Nursing:
- Oversee the care of all residents in assigned areas
- Assess residents and administer nursing treatments
- Work closely with physicians to determine appropriate care
- Responds to and leads emergency situations
- Complete medical records on residents
- Performs record keeping according to policies developed by St. John's United in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in Care Plan and other family meetings
- Coordination of appropriateness of Admissions, Discharges, and/or Transfers
- Provides assistance to Physicians, other Health Care Providers and visitors
- Has daily contact with residents, staff members, resident family members and volunteers in completing their assigned job functions
Supervision:
- Supervise LPN's and C.N.A.'s in assigned areas
- Coach, educate, evaluate and discipline assigned employees
- Provides constructive feedback to nursing administration for LPN's and C.N.A.'s through performance evaluations
- Assist LPN's and C.N.A's when necessary
Safety:
- Obeys safety rules of St. John's United
- Identifies, reports, and/or corrects obvious safety hazards
- Attends mandatory safety in-services

Employee Responsibilities:
- Follows policy and procedures on annual TB testing.
- Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations.
- Attends all mandatory in-services
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Requirements : Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana. Previous work experience in a health care setting preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Ability to understand verbal instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires heavy physical work more than 70% of the time, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, walking, and bending for prolonged periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS: - Work involves some exposure to hazards, bloodborne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
