Job Description:nnThe Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. Our team specializes in providing patient-centered, trauma-informed care to patients that present with concerns for physical abuse, sexual abuse, and medical neglect to the Children’s Justice Center. Our nurses assist with examination and evidence collection. Nursing coverage is PRN.nnNurses on our team will assist our advanced practitioners with patient examinations in the clinical setting. The nurse and advance practitioner will work closely with Primary Children’s medical team as well as the local Children’s Justice Center Multidisciplinary Team. Applicants should have superior assessment skills, be able to work independently and as a team, and possess excellent critical thinking skills.nnPosting Specifics:nnBenefits Eligible: NOnnShift Details: PRN 0 hrs as needed. No benefits.nnLocation: This position will work in the Uintah/Daggett area and also the Roosevelt area.nnMinimum QualificationsnnCurrent RN License in state of practice.nnand -nnBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.nnand -nnAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.nnPreferred QualificationsnnOne or more years of RN experiencennBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.nnPhysical Requirements:nnOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.nnand -nnFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.nnand -nnManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.nnand -nnExpected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.nnand -nnNeed to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
