TelCom Construction is looking for people just like you to grow our training function, passing on much needed experience to this fast growing industry.nnConnecting you to great benefitsnnWeekly PaychecksnnPaid lodging and per diem when overnight travel is requirednnPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysnnInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)nn401(k) w/ Company MatchnnStock Purchase PlannnEducation ReimbursementnnClass A CDL Licensure programnnLegal InsurancennDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!nnWhat you’ll do as a Field TrainernnEffectively train new and existing employees to industry and Company standards in some or all of the following:nnOperating diesel and gasoline powered equipment including backhoe, hydro-vac, directional drill;nnSafely using various hand and small tools such as shovel, tamper, generator, etc;nnLocating buried wire, cabling and other utilities;nnInstalling underground communications cabling, including setting up pedestals and hand holes;nnSafe and proper use of flagging;nnProperty and worksite restoration;nnJetting, shooting a pneumatic gopher and operation of compressors;nnConducting work site walk-throughs and addressing issues;nnMonitor and adhere to all safety processes and procedures;nnAssist and/or provides recommendations for managers in creating employee development plans;nnMaintain records and documentation regarding employee training;nnOther duties as assigned.nnWhat you’ll neednnTo be 18 years of age or oldernnAuthorization to work in the United States for this companynnPrevious utility construction field experience with a focus on crew leadership is requirednnPrevious telecommunications construction field experience is strongly preferrednnDemonstrated ability to maintain a positive working environmentnnGood verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give constructive feedback in a respectful mannernnMust be able to present in both classroom and field settingsnnAbility to work with individuals at all levels throughout the organization, skills and knowledgennBasic computer skills are required – Google application experience preferrednnValid Class A CDL drivers license with a good driving record requirednnMust be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardnnRegional travel is requirednnPhysical abilities & exposuresnnThe work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
