The hired surgeon will work within a team of 5 trauma fellowship trained Orthopedic surgeons. The chief will manage, direct and staff the operations related to the Orthopedic Trauma Division in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. The successful candidate will also direct the research function of the department by leadingand coordinating all research efforts across the department. Coordinates and leads a team of research fellows. This role is ideal for a candidate who excels in trauma surgery, leadershipand research with a particular emphasis on securing research grants, navigating IRB processes, and advancing orthopedic knowledge, and publications. Treats patients with injuries, disorders, or malformations and performs required surgery. Conducts and supervises direct patient care, including some non-surgical treatment options.
