POSITION SUMMARY:nnProvides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents. Follows defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and inservice programs. The LPN shall have the ability to provide care to geriatric residents.nnQUALIFICATIONS:nnEDUCATION:nnMinimum :nnSuccessful completion of Practical Nursing ProgramnnLICENSE:nnMinimum :nnCurrent New York State Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.nnPROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:nnMinimum :nnBLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.nnWORK EXPERIENCE:nnPreferred :nnLong Term Care experience, charge nurse experiencennSKILLS:nnMinimum :nnSuccessful completion of supervised medication administration and written test.nnDemonstrated leadership abilities.nnDemonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.nnAbility to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.nnSalary Range: $29.36-$31.63
