Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 01/13/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Shift: • 10 hour days; 7:00AM-5:30pm, Will take call one night per week and every other weekend Requirements: • Minimum 2years experience in Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab- Required • Active ARRT Registry - Required. • Active CA State License - Required. • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA - Required. Job Duties: • Should be willing to help the RNs in the pre and post areas as a second person • Verifies physician orders and procedures to assure accuracy. • Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care. • Explain the procedure to the patient to ensure understanding. • Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol. • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards. • Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performs notification/remediation as warranted. • Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment, maintenance, etc.). • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style. • Other related duties as required.
