Overview: Production Team Leader for the Production Department with proven ability to lead daily production activities and coordination of activities of the work teams within the department. This role is also responsible for working closely with other Team Leaders and Production Supervisor to provide resources, on-going work direction, decision making and problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to the customer (internal and external). Primary Responsibilities: Facilitates total team performance by active team engagement. Works with other Team Leaders and employees throughout the organization, cooperating to assure the production processes support the production plan and customer requirements. Approves appropriate quality checks and audits are performed by operators to provide product and process quality. Leads safety program in area of responsibility through example and positive communication, employee involvement, and recognition, maintain a clean and orderly workplace utilizing 5S standards and work center audits. Assists with corrective coaching such as PPE, work pace, performance etc. Leads departmental meetings, morning huddles; sets expectation for daily production. Maintains visual production control, assisting when supervisor is not able to. Promote employee development through effective verbal communication, cross-training skills, managing the production floor. Other duties as assigned and operationally necessary. Qualifications and Competencies: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment, team leader experience required. Strong dedication to customer service and order accuracy. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and diverse needs in a fast-paced environment. Positive ability with a "can do" attitude. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate and foster a positive, respectful, collaborative and engaged workforce. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Safety Focus: Identifying and improving conditions that affect own and others' safety; upholding safety. (Follows safe operating practices, GMPs, identifies safety Issues, takes corrective action, ensures practices are followed by other operators). Communication: Conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps understand and retain message. Listens actively to others. (Organizes communication, maintains attention, adjusts to the listener, ensures understanding, listens actively, conveys professional presence). Motivational Fit: Setting high standards of performance for self and others, assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments. Reliable Attendance: Maintains consistent and punctual attendance to support team productivity and meet operational needs. This position requires adherence to established work schedules, timely completion of assignments, and the flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet critical deadlines and organizational goals.
