The primary job focus is to meet patient needs, to achieve the services goals and objectives, and to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The Outpatient Coordinator provides in-service education and training for the service staff and other facility personnel on an ongoing basis. The Outpatient Coordinator is responsible for providing Outpatient rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for physical functioning disorders and wound care following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function and when possible, a return to prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services. Duties and Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures. Adheres to and assures compliance with Code of Conduct, facility policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards as promulgated by Federal, State, and accrediting agencies or regulating bodies. Completion of required compliance training and processes. Gives input to department policies and procedures and assures employee compliance. Establishes monthly department goals and objectives in conjunction with the facility’s objectives. Coordinates rehab admissions and distribution of caseload including labor management. Working knowledge of various payers and regulatory requirements for each. Ensures that rehab department is compliant with all regulatory issues as established by Federal, State and company requirements. Ensures compliance and accuracy with treatment minutes and other administrative records, as assigned. Is familiar with revenue/expense information and controls the expenditure of funds to meet budgetary requirements. Active State Licensure or Registration where applicable. Provides Patient Care within the scope of practice of a therapist assistant. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
