Business Overview The External Investing Group (“XIG”) provides investors with investment and advisory solutions across leading private equity funds, hedge fund managers, real estate managers, public equity strategies, and fixed income strategies. XIG manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Responsibilities Develop and publish private markets investment research content. Lead cross-collaboration between quantitative teams, deal teams, and sales teams to synthesize insights and key findings. Perform statistical analysis to develop private markets outlook. Integrate outlook into private markets modeling assumptions. Collaborate on the development and continuous evolution of proprietary asset allocation and portfolio construction models. Leverage proprietary data to develop analyses to support data-driven portfolio management, collaborate to develop and refine proprietary models and tools. Lead portfolio and risk management strategic initiatives including but not limited to quantitative research and data enhancements. Qualifications At least 7 years of experience in a highly analytical role in asset management or investment banking, with a minimum of 5 years in private markets. Strong working knowledge of private markets asset allocation, portfolio management, and investing. Strong writing and oral communication skills, capable of articulating complex findings to a non-technical audience, including senior leadership. Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling or statistical analysis within the financial sector. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated abilities in research and data visualization. A strategic mindset and leadership capabilities, with a deep interest in investment management and a creative, action-oriented approach to problem-solving. Excellent time, people, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a global team. Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience. Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
