WHAT YOU’LL DO: Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as hard gages, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, hardness testers, and CMM’s to conduct efficient and accurate part measurement. Assist in the validation and verification of new product designs and manufacturing processes. Utilize existing problem-solving skills in contribution towards continuous improvement efforts in our manufacturing and assembly areas. Perform detailed process audits and drive targeted improvement actions through coaching of others or direct ownership of the resolution. Provide technical support to engineering and production teams to ensure compliance to quality standards. Maintain accurate and timely data and other records for work performed. Learn through training or OJT, processes such as calibration, CMM programming, and quality system auditing. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Prior experience in a similar quality, manufacturing, or engineering technician role. 3-5 years of practical application of GD&T standards in an automotive, commercial, or aerospace manufacturing facility performing surface plate based or similar dimensional inspection. Proficiency using a wide range of measurement tools. Ability to interpret part drawings, material, and engineering specifications. A strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and industry best practices. Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO16949, ISO31000) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Six-Sigma, Lean, TPS exposure preferred. Attention to detail and deep commitment to continual improvement. Effective verbal, written and digital communicator. Highly collaborative, with firm team-building approach. Experience with process capability tools and/or statistical analysis (preferred). Ability to write part inspection programs using PC-DMIS/Hexagon software (highly desired). WHY WORK FOR US? Demonstrated work experience in similar role using multiple tools listed above. Competent in mathematics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 lbs on a periodic basis. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, wearing PPE such as gloves, and eye, ear and foot protection.
