Job Summary Job Description Job Overview: The Sr. Procurement Manager – Professional Services, Workforce Management is responsible for managing Medline’s global Categories for Consulting, Contingent Labor, Legal, Recruiting, Staffing, HR, Benefits and Rewards Programs, as well as all additional subcategories not in the Travel, Marketing/Promo or Office supply categories. Job Responsibilities: Category Strategy, Sourcing and Category Management for all Consulting, Contingent Labor, Legal, Recruiting, Staffing, HR, Benefits and Rewards Programs categories globally. Work closely with Division representatives in Corporate, Divisional and Ops leaders to leverage spend and best practices to drive Hard Dollar Savings, Demand, Consumption and Compliance management for all above categories globally. Build core relationships with Senior Management, Corporate, Divisional and Ops leaders to facilitate analysis, understand strategies and benchmark spend. Lead the process of recommending new initiatives and holding ongoing kaizen workshops around the world to build and expand demand pipeline. Build Supplier Relationship Management and Risk Management strategies within the assigned Professional Services categories of spend. Communication, Change Management and Implementation of all assigned Professional Services initiatives. Monitor category and/or supplier spending, both in aggregate and via patterns/cycles, and continuously evaluate options to reduce total cost of ownership. Stimulate and support supplier innovation; develop market intelligence and benchmarking; act as subject matter expert in commodities and supplier market dynamics; proactively identify new markets and supplier sources within the Americas, Europe and Asia. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related field. 6 years of manufacturing, distribution or purchasing experience. Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, demand management and forecasting. At least 4 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, business statistics, and volume. Work is primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required to other company locations or to attend conferences or training sessions. Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table). Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree or experience equivalent. Experience working with Indirect Professional Services categories, ie, Contingent Labor, Consulting agreements, Benefits, Legal, etc. Ability to work on site Tuesday-Thursday’s. Language Requirements: English. Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in project valuation and business modeling. Ability to execute under changing conditions and tight timelines. Experience operating successfully in a highly matrixed environment with a track record of achieving excellent results. An enthusiastic leader, change agent and people person possessing a professional, positive and energetic attitude. Strong Project Management experience and skills. Very strong oral, written and presentation communication skills in diverse settings: one-on-one as well as small and large groups. Ability to manage and influence up the organization including the C-Suite.
