Responsibilities Responsible and safe operation of equipment Seek to produce material that will provide the most consistent, highest quality end products, under the direction of the leadman and pit supervisor. Maintain mechanical functions of equipment as needed Perform equipment inspections and fueling of equipment daily The loader operator’s role is key to the success of the operations. Some items the loader operator should be aware of are: Maintaining high quality feed material. Watch for any potential site or plant problems that are within your view. Be alert to site hazards involved with feeding from the load face of material. Skills & Experience Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instruction Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time Build a lasting career with us.
