Here is what you will be doing: Operate any one of the following on a daily basis: a CAT 980 Loader (or equivalent) and a CAT D8 (or equivalent) Dozer Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations, i.e. maintenance, clean-up, safety observations and inspections Perform thorough pre and post-trip inspections Maintain cleanliness of equipment Expand personal knowledge of operating equipment Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew Understand our critical service requirements and see they are met Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensure safe behaviors Requirements of a successful Equipment Operator: Extensive experience operating large pieces of heavy equipment Read, write, speak and understand English Should understand best practices of maintaining and safely operating Heavy Equipment Safety-conscious and understand safe work practices Comfortable with heights including the ability to walk up and down conveyor belt lines and climb ladders Ability to pass a drug screen, possess a current Driver’s License and TWIC card at the time of applying Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: Equipment Operators are routinely required to work outdoors and as a result are exposed to the elements Handle large tools and equipment up to (60 lbs.)
