Position Summary The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, guiding, and supporting the Maintenance Department to achieve its goals in maintaining, repairing, and replacing foundry and machining equipment, as well as supporting systems and facility infrastructure. This hands-on role operates in a fast-paced, physically demanding production environment, requiring a proactive individual who is willing and able to work alongside employees daily. Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execute supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work; adhering to Company policies and procedures; managing attendance; interviewing, onboarding, and training employees; overseeing performance; administering corrective actions; and proactively addressing employee concerns to maintain high morale and maximize employee satisfaction. Facilitate, promote, and implement lean initiatives that drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and cost in the maintenance operations. Lead and/or participate in Kaizen events and GEMBA "go and see" walks. Participate in daily team meetings and problem-solving sessions. Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with the plant's Safety Policy and state and federal OSHA regulations. Ability to manage work orders and PM's within the CMMS and order parts as required to ensure work is supported in a timely manner. Evaluate facility and equipment problems, provide guidance and assistance with resolving issues, including technical support and instruction for uncommon procedures. Continuously seek out and recommend measures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. Ensure seamless shift to shift transitions occur with meticulous attention to detail, tailored to the specific tasks as necessary. Occasional travel to other company sites or facilities may be required. Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including weekends as required to support customer needs. Education and Experience Requirements Associate's degree preferred or 2-3 plus years of maintenance supervisory experience 5 year work history in a Maintenance position. Leadership experience preferred Intermediate proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Physical Requirements This position works in a Manufacturing environment typically indoors but may require access to outdoors for work at times and includes exposure to dust particles. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear, and talk; use fingers and hands, with good hand and finger dexterity to handle or feel controls or products; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 70 lbs. is required. Exposure to elevated heights up to 20 feet. This position also requires a person to handle different temperatures as the plant is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. This position may also require a person to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift.
