Schedule

• M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call
• 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun

Clinical Details

• Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center
• Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider
• No hospital consults required with low volume remote call
• MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions
• Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies
• Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider
• Average daily census: 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule. 10 patients per day with 1-2 being new patients
• Mon-Thurs shared between the MD and NP with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule
• 7 Infusion chairs
• Outpatient clinic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology - Preferred
  • Will consider Board Eligible
  • Can accept providers boarded in Oncology OR Hematology
• Active CA License and DEA
• Medical Oncology Fellowship
• BLS, ACLS
• Clean Malpractice/background - Preferred
• Local provider - Highly Preferred

Support Staff

• 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs

EMR

• iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
