Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
3. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
9. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
10. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
11. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
12. Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance.
13. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
14. Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
3. CPA or CMA preferred.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
9. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
10. Proficiency in financial reporting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
11. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
12. Experience with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
13. Experience with managing relationships with external auditors and overseeing regulatory reporting.
14. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
