Day to day:
A construction company in Winchester, KY is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids. This person will be responsible for recording and logging bid submissions, updating unit prices and actual costs, and developing cost data for budgetary purposes. They will prepare cost proposals in collaboration with the Business Development team. In the design development phase, the Estimator will conduct quantity takeoffs, apply unit pricing to develop competitive budgets, and collaborate with the Project Manager and design team to control project costs. During the estimating phase, the Estimator will work closely with the Project Manager to plan and pre-construct projects, update calendars with due dates, apply actual cost data to develop final estimates, organize subcontractor scopes of work, evaluate subcontractor bids, and prepare fees for proposals. Additionally, they will work with the Controller to establish overhead and general condition expenses and ensure the accuracy of final cost estimates.
***Compensation : 100k-150k
