Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our HR team as a Recruiter. As a Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support our ongoing construction projects and corporate growth. Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Source candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media, and industry networking.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for ESS culture.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to job offer and onboarding/orientation.
Candidate Engagement
- Create a positive candidate experience by providing clear communication and timely feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a smooth hiring process.
- Represent ESS at job fairs, industry events, and networking functions to promote our employer brand.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on recruitment metrics and progress to HR leadership.
Diversity and Inclusion
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives in the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance diversity within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a recruiter in the construction or engineering industry (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
- Ability to create strong working relationships with internal partners as well as external partners, collaborating to create best in class practices and offerings.
- Ability to adapt and interact well in a variety of diverse settings while being flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to various company locations as needed.
