Position Overview:
As a Manual Machinist, you will operate and maintain manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to produce precision parts. You’ll interpret blueprints, manage materials, and ensure each part meets our rigorous quality standards. This is a full-time position with occasional overtime, ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in manual machining and an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Manage material inventory, handle job paperwork, and complete production reports as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and machining processes.
- Skilled in using measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals.
