This associate will work closely with innovative companies, providing legal guidance on various immigration matters. Ideal candidates will have experience specifically in business-related immigration, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN visas, and the PERM process. Strong analytical skills and a passion for client service are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with legal standards related to H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN visas, and the PERM process.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of case managers covering a wide range of visa categories.
  • Advise and guide clients on the setup of company electronic-posting processes for Labor Condition Applications (LCAs) and recruitment processes for PERM applications.
  • Assist in drafting complex immigration filings as needed.
  • Ensure all submissions meet A+ quality standards for clients.
  • Communicate with clients to assess eligibility for business-related immigration benefits and provide timely updates regarding case progression.
  • Research legal issues related to immigration benefits to remain informed on current regulations and best practices.
  • Utilize reports and manipulate data to prioritize and manage casework effectively.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years in immigration law, with specific skills in business immigration and complex visa filings.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Preference for prior experience working successfully in a remote environment. Key indicators: taking ownership of cases; preparing cases efficiently and accurately; actively communicating with team members and seeking feedback; and understanding productivity goals.
  • Experience working with corporate clients who do not yet have an established immigration program.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Box (or other cloud-based document management system), etc.
  • Natural curiosity about technology.
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and communication abilities.

Client Profile:

The firm's clients include a diverse range of innovative companies across industries such as technology, entertainment, and media. The firm provides tailored immigration solutions to both established businesses and startups seeking to develop effective immigration programs.

Location: 100% Remote - Southern CA for occasional 1 month in person meetings

Compensation: The base compensation for this position is expected to range from $80,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
