Freelance to full-time opportunity
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who has strong design skills. They should be able to communicate effectively in order to understand the criteria of a project and deliver a carefully crafted design. This candidate should be able to collect feedback on various projects and if necessary, adapt their approach for future projects.
Responsibilities
· Develops concepts and/or storyboards for digital platforms, social media, print, collateral and TV
· Designs logos, collateral design, interactive motion picture digital signage, animated gifs, etc.
· Presents concepts to other teams if necessary and willing to take direction and revise concepts/storyboards/ or designs according to comments
· Assists in preparing materials necessary for client presentations
· Develops the ability to communicate knowledge of assigned product(s)
· Maintains computer archive files
· Performs miscellaneous tasks as directed by Art Department
· Must be a collaborator who does whatever it takes and meets deadlines
Requirements
· Ability to understand a creative brief that describes the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s) and deliver multiple creative solutions
· Proven work and portfolio as a designer in freelance or full time capacity
· A minimum of an associates (2 year) degree in advertising/communication design, or visual arts. A bachelor (4-year) degree is preferred
· 1-2 years of related experience in design or agency setting
· Hands on experience with Adobe CS and Apple IOS
· Knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
· Is a student of contemporary design going on outside his or her purview
· Demonstrated ability to think creatively
· Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments at one time
· Strong composition techniques in producing polished final pieces
· Must have photo-retouching and image development skills
· Understanding of social media
· Photography skills a plus
