Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is a national provider of workforce management solutions, providing contract, temporary, temporary-to-hire & direct hire solutions to clients in all industries across the country.
The Contract Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates to fulfill temporary, temporary to hire and/or direct hire professional job opportunities for a wide variety of clients. Successful candidates will be resourceful, consultative, process focused, and above all, able to build strong relationships with candidates.
Contract Technical Recruiter Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting process, including identifying and screening candidates, negotiating rates, coordinating interviews, presenting offers, and closing consultants for our VMS clients.
- Demonstrate experience and specialize in working with MSP/VMS providers
- Cultivate a network of W2 candidates across various technology sectors, including Project/Program Management, Engineers (Java & .NET), DevOps, System Engineers, Technical Business System Analysts, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Infrastructure, Big Data, and Analytics.
- Anticipate business priorities and assess how they will impact long-term staffing plans, providing total talent and workforce solutions to meet industry demands.
- Pipeline candidates and build a continuous local network of top tier talent ready to be submitted to upcoming requisition
- Recruiting through internet searches, internet advertising, Application Tracking System, job fairs, user groups, and referrals.
- Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate candidates for interview times and/or interview locations.
- Interviewing candidates over the phone and/or in person.
- Identifying and presenting opportunities for each candidate based upon skill set, job requirements, geographic location, salary requirements, and overall qualifications.
- Coaching candidates on specific opportunities as well as interviewing techniques and tips.
- Discussing orders with Account Managers to get a clear picture of what they are look for and to formulate a recruiting strategy.
- Presenting candidates to Account Managers.
- Setting up interviews at times that are convenient for both clients and candidates.
- Administering employee testing and/or background checks per clients’ request.
- Acting as an intermediary between client and candidate to answer questions, concerns, or to assist in overcoming any objections.
- Extending offers on behalf of a client to a candidate – responsibilities include presenting an offer and negotiation terms of offer.
- Soliciting leads.
- Entering candidate information into the database and updating daily if necessary.
- Serving as a contact at networking events or job fairs.
- Posting jobs on the internet.
- Continuously strive to attain weekly/monthly/annual metrics
Contract Technical Recruiter Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-5 years of applicable recruiting experience in staffing environment
- Proven experience in technology recruitment, preferably with corporate VMS accounts
- 2+ years of experience in VMS/MSP/RPO programs, with expertise in managed staffing, vendor management, supplier management, and related areas.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work assignments and multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of individuals (such as customers, employees, and candidates)
- Proven customer service skills
- Proven self-starter and team leader
