As a Facilities & Business Attorney at Lozano Smith, you will work on-site in our San Diego office, providing strategic legal guidance and handling a wide array of business-related legal issues. You will be advising school districts and other public entities on various matters, including construction projects, real estate development, and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) . Litigation experience representing public entities is a plus, as is familiarity with developer fees and CFDs. Your role will involve drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing pleadings, and providing high-quality counsel to ensure compliance with the law and client success.

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of legal experience, a passion for representing public entities , and a strong interest in school district and public agency law. The ability to advise on both transactional and litigation matters, coupled with a commitment to staying updated on evolving legal issues, will be crucial in supporting our clients. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with clients to provide practical, timely, and strategic solutions to their business challenges, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
