Innospec Fuel Specialties is looking to add a Sr. Chemist to their fast-growing team in Newark, DE.
Job Duties:
- Analyzes samples from various sources to provide information on different materials.
- Develops new techniques to analyze chemicals.
- Collaborates with specialists to interpret data and writes reports about the results.
- Analyzes test information to determine process efficiency and works on improvements.
- Plans, organizes, and performs scientific research projects in a particular scientific area.
- Capable to lead multiple projects in collaboration with business objectives.
- Prepares scientific reports or datasheets detailing the organization's products and their applications.
- Leads research teams in development of products.
- Proofread detailed technical reports.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations on projects outside the research group.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry preferred
- 5-10 years of experience
- Analytical thinking skills
- Research skills
- 10% travel may be required
- Demonstrate knowledge of legislative or technological advances. Demonstrate full knowledge of at least two areas of relevant chemistry (including, where relevant, synthetic methods, reaction mechanisms and kinetics with at least 5-10 years technical experience.
