Summary
BioPhase is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to operate and maintain machinery involved in production processes. Key responsibilities include supporting production activities and ensuring adherence to established safety and quality guidelines. This temporary position offers a starting pay of $20.50 per hour, with a typical workweek from Monday to Friday, 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, ensuring optimal operation and safety.
- Accurately document production activities and equipment maintenance records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the preparation, cleaning, and setup of machinery for production runs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including performing end-of-week clean-up tasks promptly and thoroughly.
- Follow established safety and environmental guidelines, reporting any hazards immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, the candidate must demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
- Education : High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience : 0-1 year of relevant work experience; prior experience operating machinery in a production environment is preferred.
- Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions. Capable of documenting activities and communicating effectively with coworkers.
- Mathematical Skills : Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Experience using the metric system and measuring tools.
