Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our daily shipping, inventory, and logistics operations at our Auburn, NH location. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple tasks to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our logistics operations. While experience in the HVAC or Electrical industries is an asset, it is not required.
This is an on-site, full-time role, and candidates must reside within one hour's drive of our Auburn, NH office. The Shipping and Logistics Manager will report directly to the Project Engineer of the Kitchen Energy Solutions Team and play a vital role in supporting the daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all shipping and logistics functions, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and tools.
- Supervise receiving operations, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Manage inventory control processes, including organizing, tracking, and auditing stock levels to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Provide operational support to various departments to ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, optimizing routes to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve any logistics or shipping-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards related to logistics, shipping, and inventory management.
- Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance logistics and inventory workflows.
- Maintain and manage calibrated testing instruments and ensure their proper usage and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Prior experience in shipping, logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Experience in the HVAC or Electrical industries is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must live within one hour's commute of our office at 40 King St, Auburn, NH.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy items as required.
