Position: We are seeking a skilled and motivated immigration attorney with up to 3 years of experience in immigration law. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a diverse caseload, a strong understanding of immigration law, excellent writing and communication skills, superb attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multitask. This role offers the opportunity to work on unique and challenging cases, further enhancing your expertise and career. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation in a wide range of immigration matters, including but not limited to asylum, deportation/removal defense, family-based immigration, and employment-based immigration.
  • Represent clients at Master Calendar Hearings, Conferences, and Individual Merits Hearings  before the Immigration Court.
  • Represent clients at interviews before USCIS. 
  • Represent clients in guardianship matters before the family court as related to special immigrant juvenile status.  
  • Draft and submit legal briefs, petitions, and other documents to relevant government agencies and courts.
  • Offer strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring they are well-informed about their options and the potential outcomes of their cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration law and effectively apply this knowledge to client cases.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining precision and meeting all deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in NJ or NY, preferably NY. 
  • Bar admission in multiple states is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing immigration law including experience litigating cases before the Immigration Court.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with individuals from varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
