The Judge Group is seeking a Safety Manager for a chemical manufacturing company located in Philadelphia.

Title: Safety Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Relocation: NO

Hours: Day Shift

100% Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Emergency Response Team (ERT) for emergencies, reducing risks to staff, the community, and environment.

• Ensure site security follows the Maritime Transportation Security Act and company rules.

• Promote a strong safety culture among employees.

• Maintain and inspect fire protection and security equipment.

• Choose and buy emergency response equipment and technology.

• Follow all corporate, local, state, and federal safety rules.

• Improve safety, security, and emergency response procedures and training.

• Provide advice on safety, security, and emergency response policies.

• Coordinate emergency response and security training and communications.

• Conduct drills and assess performance.

• Keep Confined Space Inventory, Rescue Plans, and Entry Plans up to date.

• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

• Represent the site at the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).

• Manage the Fire Protection impairment database and prioritize tasks.

• Keep training and inspection records.

• Facilitate external compliance audits.

• Drive improvements through audits and inspections.

• Act as the site expert on safety and contractor safety programs.

• Oversee emergency response and security in the Site RC-14001 Management System.

• Promote the Safety Observation program and engage employees.

• Act as the Site Facility Security Officer (FSO) and manage third-party security and fire protection contracts.

• Manage the Emergency Response, Fire Protection, and Security budget.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in a health & safety role within a chemical manufacturing environment

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

• CSP certification preferred
