$27.50 per hour + health benefits

• Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, agronomy, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of various aspects of growing and maintaining plants, including weeds and crops, is highly desired
• This individual must possess good observational skills, be familiar with plant needs and be able to recognize stress or unusual growth conditions
• A high degree of diligence and accuracy is required to achieve high quality results in a safe and prudent manner
• Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to respond to team priorities
• Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required as is the ability to learn and use other computer databases and programs
• Perform duties in a greenhouse environment such as seeding, watering, thinning of plants, moving of plants and assisting with spraying of plants
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a greenhouse environment
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job safely
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
• Must be able to lift to 35 lbs
• Ability to manage exposure to dust, pollen and work in elevated temperatures
• Ability to work extended time on your feet, weekend responsibilities possible
