Role Description

This is a full-time role for an articulate Security Operations engineer. The role requires a deep understanding of Security Operations, typically with experience as a level 2 or 3 operator in a medium to large SOC.

We provide defense in depth - using deep learning and examining network and flow related logs. Experience in identifying issues with the assistance of Netflow data is useful.

Your responsibilities include working with our users, and helping them to achieve success in using our solutions in conjunction with their other security solutions. Additionally, you will assist in our internal security operations and controls.

You will be joining a small team, so your impact will be enormous. You will be on a journey with a very experienced team of successful entrepreneurs.

This is an ideal role for someone who has learned, firsthand, how to do security operations; you must have deep empathy for security operators and you must be motivated by a desire to make their professional lives far more productive.

The role is almost entirely remote. We gather approximately monthly in Palo Alto as a team.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in security operations
• Expertise in Netflow or VPC flow and similar logs
• An understanding of security systems and how they work together
• OpenSource experience helpful
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about building impactful technologies and organizations
• A technical degree or proven proficiency in technology development, and operations, is required
