The Role
Do you love telling stories with data? TVision is seeking a Research Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team who wants to become an expert on our unique dataset and help our partners across the industry understand how viewers engage with TV programming and advertising. Reporting to the Director, Product & Analytics, this role will work closely with our Customer Success and Product teams on scoping, executing, and presenting custom reports for our clients. Using a combination of our syndicated tooling and custom SQL queries, this role will work to uncover interesting use cases for our data to:
- Analyze a variety of data sets and synthesize key findings based on internal and external research goals
- Develop a deep understanding of the TV advertising landscape, so as to ensure reports resonate with key audiences
- Become an expert in TVision’s datasets, including creative thinking around ways to analyze data
- Collaborate with Product Team on scope of tooling development, so as to meet a market need
- Become a subject matter expert on Looker, both as a development platform and visualization tool
- Help internal teams synthesize the data by creating new visualizations in Looker and Tableau
The Candidate
- 2+ years of experience in an analytics / insights / research position.
- Experience with SQL is a must. This role is SQL heavy and also involved putting together narratives in PPT to be shared with clients
- Experience using a data visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, Spotfire
- Experience with Python Scripts and s3 are nice to have
- Strong time management skills
- Analytical acumen and ability to tell stories with data
- Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communications skills with both internal and external audiences
- Collaborative with a passion for media research and data analysis
- Strong sense of project ownership and personal responsibility
