Support Center - Irving
Our 10-week paid Internship program is designed to attract and develop future leaders. This opportunity is for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing career opportunities in retail supply chain or related fields. As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with core responsibilities, relevant projects, and assignments. The Supply Chain intern will be assigned to the Supply Chain Strategy team and gain hands-on experience with core responsibilities, relevant projects, and cross-training; including time at the local distribution center.
Major Activities
- Learn basic terminology and processes in Supply Chain related to product flow through the network
- Understand basic Supply Chain KPIs
- Gain firsthand knowledge of the DC process while spending time in a Distribution Center
- Learn firsthand the importance of building cross-functional relationships across the company and how these teams partner
- Will attend weekly meetings and shadow multiple areas of responsibilities within Supply Chain
- Collaborate with team members to deliver quality projects timely
- Take ownership of and present an individual project related to Supply Chain that will be implemented or continue post-internship.
Other duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Minimum Education - Bachelor's degree in (Supply Chain)
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent Google Suite applications
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires - GPA of 3.0 or above
- College Juniors and above
- 1 year of experience working in a retail environment or distribution center is preferred
- Good written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Possess good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Natural curiosity to learn and self-motivated
Other - Illustrate interest in topics by asking questions and participation
Preferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills - Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments at the same time
