Schedule NotesnShift is 7am to 730pm 3 days/week with one night of call per week which is 730pm to 7am. And one weekend shift of on call per month.nDutiesnJob Function 1: Assessment skills. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate.nnJob Function: 02. Clinical Skills. Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.nnJob Function: 03. Documentation. Maintains complete and accurate documentation. Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines. Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress toward meeting outcomes in the patient's chart including patient education.nnJob Function: 04. Professionalism. Demonstrates professional practice responsibility. Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures and is able to identify areas for clinical and professional growth.nnJob Function: 05. Patient Satisfaction. Consistently responds to patient's/families and co-workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner to promotes an environment where the patient and family is at the center and the patient care team works cooperatively toward their goal and objectives. Consistently follows the National Patient Safety Goals including following Universal Protocol and identifying patient's utilizing 2 patient identifiers. Demonstrates use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self, and patient's.nnJob Function: 07. Unit Specific Job Function. Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patient's. Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.nnJob Function: 08. Responsibility and Accountability. Contributes to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care by prioritizing the care of patient's depending on their needs and any changes in their condition.nnJob Function: 09. Patient Education and Chart Completion. Assesses patient's understanding of surgical procedure/instructions, actively including the patient and family members in teaching. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.nnJob Function: 10. Duties Specific to PAT RN. Supports the completion of patient testing in a timely manner.
