The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is searching for a board-certified Neurologist to join our team as a Movement Disorders Staff Neurologist. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to contribute to our Neurology Department's mission with compassion and expertise.
At the Salisbury VA Healthcare System, the staff neurologist will provide daily care to Veteran patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings across three locations: Salisbury Main, Charlotte Health Care Center (HCC), and Kernersville HCC.
Duties can include but are not limited to performing:
• Outpatient and Inpatient Neurology Consultations
• Conduct electrodiagnostic studies, including EMG, NCS, and EEG.
• A faculty appointment at Wake Forest Baptist Health is encouraged to facilitate opportunities for collaboration with residents and students.
• Document progress notes for inpatients on which the subspecialist is working, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in neurology.
Fellowship: A fellowship in Movement Disorders is preferred.
