Responsibilities of Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Administer medications as per physician orders
- Provide treatments as ordered by physicians, including:
- Nutrition through a feeding tube
- Tracheostomy care
- Suctions - nasal, oral, and/or endotracheal
- Ventilation care
- Seizure assessment and management
Requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Valid BLS CPR card (must be obtained in-person)
- Experience with G-tubes, tracheostomies, or ventilators, or willingness to train
- Recent TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
- Completion of a 2-Hour DOEA Approved Course on Alzheimer's (cost covered if needed)
- 1-Hour DOEA Alzheimer’s Video available for free on the DOEA website
