Job Description Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a
Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Hospital in
Wayne, NJ. These are registry positions with our company.
Pay Rate: $40 / hour
*W2
Shift Details: - Day Shift 7: 00am-3: 00pm
- Work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
Minimum Qualifications: - At least one year (12 months) previous working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have up to date credentials in the state of NJ
- A valid and current BLS card (American Heart Association)
- Has long term care (LTC) experience.
- An updated resume
- New Jersey License/Certification
- Recent physical exam (within 2 weeks of start date)
- X-ray for PPD (if positive reading)
- Current Criminal background check
- Driver's License
- Social Security card
- CPR Certification -Nurses only
- COVID-19 Vaccination card or vaccination status -Please note: While not required, we must tract vaccination data for regulatory agencies
- Proof of Flu vaccine (if applicable)
- Name change document (if applicable)
Job Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Perform routine patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and maintain proper documentation of medication administration.
- Regularly monitor and record patients'vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Assist with wound care, dressings, and rehabilitation procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, progress, and assessments using electronic medical records (EMR) or other designated systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to promote effective self-management and recovery.
- Follow established infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe disposal of medical waste.
- Act swiftly and effectively during emergencies, implementing appropriate nursing intervention and alerting the appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements
- Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner
