JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Nurse Clinician 2 is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population at the WVHK. The incumbent provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care, and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All activities are performed in accordance with applicable standards of practice, facility policy and procedures, and WDVA, WVHK and governmental rules and regulations. Job duties require the ability to assist in mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Job Details These are flexible part-time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime. Shifts are available AM, PM, NOC, holidays and weekends. Candidate preferences gathered at time of interview. LTE jobs are limited to 1,039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits. Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct a background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated.
