Raytheon is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer-P4 supporting the operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities for programs based at the Raytheon Aurora Campus. This position will work in a SCIF environment based on program needs with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
Use Static Code Analysis tool (Fortify) or Dynamic Code Analysis tool (WebInspect) to review, adjudicate and provide security-focused feedback to software developers on source code written in Java, C++
Coordinate with software developers and/or government accreditors to adjudicate Fortify or WebInspect findings and false positives
Brief leadership on the Fortify findings & security status for of all software releases
Download and evaluate latest DISA STIGs for use in hardening & patching
Coordinate with software developers and/or government accreditors to adjudicate new STIGs, patches and/or system hardening recommendations
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience with Cybersecurity Engineering with DoD/Government Programs
Experience with downloading & evaluating latest DISA STIGs
Experience with Static & Dynamic Software Analysis (i.e., Fortify, WebInspect)
Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification
Qualifications We Prefer
An advanced degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience
Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37 and NIST Security and Privacy Controls as described in NIST Special Publication 800-53
Experience with System Hardening and Accreditation
Experience with Agile, fast-paced, DoD Program execution
Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
