You can enjoy a competitive pay rate, generous benefits, free on-site parking, excellent staffing model and a modern, high-tech environment!nnPer diem opportunitynnJob Summary:nnFunctions under the clinical guidance of the Physician and midlevel providers of the practices and the Nurse Manager.nnParticipate in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients.nnProvide clinical support to the medical and office staff, functioning within the scope of practice dictated by the authority of the New York State Department of Education.nnResponsibilities:nnAble to manage demanding workload with accuracy.nnDemonstrate excellent customer service skills with patients, and their families, other staff, physicians and other providers, management, vendors, and the public.nnRequired Job Specific Competencies:nnDemonstrates skill in provision of care appropriate to the age of patients of primary care and specialty practices.nnExhibits the ability to collect, document and access data reflective of the patient’s status in the electronic medical record and other repositories.nnShows caring and concern for all patients.nnDemonstrates patient centered approach to care, adhering to all NCQA’s Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) requirements for nursing practice, including but not limited to data collection, education and test recall.nnDemonstrates accuracy and completeness in charting documentation and billing for each visit including nurse visits.nnDemonstrates phlebotomy and laboratory testing techniques consistent with the standards and expectations of the FF Thompson Hospital lab.nnDemonstrates the ability to appropriately execute provider orders.nnDemonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with providers, staff and Practice Management.nnExhibits leadership skills through active support of practice and system goals and objectives.nnActively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.nnCan successfully complete the Hospital orientation program and department specific orientation.nnRequirements:nnCurrent NYS LPN license required.nnCurrent Infection Control Certificate is required.nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.nnEducation:nnGraduation from an approved school of professional nursing required.nnExperience:nnThree years of recent nursing experience required.nnPhysician office nursing experience, including injection administration and phlebotomy preferred.nnPosition Pay Range: $21.50-30.00/hournnStarting Pay: Based on experiencennThompson Health is an EOE encouraging women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and veterans to applynnEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesnnThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
