Known for their exceptional teamwork and kind-hearted medical care, the relationships built between caregivers and patients in this unit are life-long.nnA caregiver in this position works Day/Evening/Night/Weekend, from 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am.nnA caregiver who excels in this role will:nnProvide direct nursing care.nnImplement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.nnMonitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.nnAdminister prescribed medications and treatments.nnNote and carry out physician and nursing orders.nnAssess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.nnEducate patients and their families.nnMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.nnCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnOne-year of current acute care RN experience.
