DEFINITION:
Assists in planning, organization and direction of the overall responsibilities of the respiratory Department. Will assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of the department manager. Will be able to provide patient care activities in critical care areas, to include adult, pediatric and neonatal critical care. Also supervises and trains Respiratory personnel in these areas.
EDUCATION:
As required by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Current Basic Life Support.
As required by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Current Oklahoma State License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years critical care experience in a hospital environment preferred.
Previous Supervisor experience desirable.
