Role Overview:
Could you be our next Globe/LNL Life Claims Management Intern (Summer Internship 2025)? We are currently seeking a Globe/LNL Life Claims Management Intern to join the Globe Life team for Summer 2025 !
In this internship role, you will report to the Life Claims Supervisor and is responsible for a full range of activities related to data analysis, planning, development, deployment, and support of new and existing projects impacting multiple businesses units and business processes.
This is an on-site position located in McKinney, TX.
What You Will Do:
• Proactively communicate with management regarding problems such as staffing, high/low work volume, emergency situations, etc.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and use logic and reasoning to compare strengths/weaknesses of alternative resolutions.
• Conceptualize innovative technical solutions that translate into efficiencies within the unit.
• Track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact on the department to create new or maximize existing initiatives based on the routine reporting and data that the Analyst manages.
• Projects - Assist in performing quality assurance and testing when implementing new creative tests.
• Create and modify testing specs documents (Business Requirement Documents and test cases) for department projects.
• Presents findings and insights to management from results of testing.
• Evaluate daily Workflow in OnBase platform and load balance claims as needed to ensure even distribution of work.
• Ensure each associate is equipped with the tools, knowledge and resources to be successful in their role while also recognizing training gaps and opportunities for retraining.
• Provide constant feedback to associates and counsel on matters of performance, attendance, and/or conduct.
• Ensure Mainframe & OnBase systems are functioning properly and partner with IT to address system issues.
• Utilize effective written and oral communication to respond professionally and with a sense of urgency to escalated claim issues received via mail, fax, or email
- Learn different areas within the organization.
- Work on different projects within the department as well as team projects.
- Back up other team members during vacations and/or leaves of absence.
What You Can Bring:
- Studies: Must have obtained at least junior status in a Bachelor degree program and Minimum 3.0 GPA (Official Transcript May be Requested).
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.
- Positive attitude and inquisitive nature
- Strong communication skills and be comfortable working with executives at all levels due to planning responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift and have the ability to work 40 hours per week.
- U.S. citizen or legal resident.
