The Restaurant Manager has overall responsibility for the continued short and long term business success of their restaurant, including accountability for sales, profits and growth. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring that the A&W restaurant is operated to industry leading standards, ensuring that the delivery of the guest
experience is a competitive strength for A&W.
These are achieved through coaching and developing the guest experience, operational, financial, and human resource skills of the restaurant team.
Responsibilities
Build and achieve targets for sales and profit in the restaurant. This includes managing all aspects of profitability:
- Ensuring effective management of key variable costs of food, labour and other controllables
- Ensuring strict adherence to cash control policies and procedures
- Managing variable and fixed restaurant costs, including equipment maintenance
- Assist in creating an annual profit plans for the restaurant.
Consistently deliver an industry leading guest experience as detailed in our strategy and measured by internal and external consumers measures (e.g. brand compliance assessments, third party food safety audits, internal and external guest feedback)
Develop and maintain a strong working climate with the restaurant team.
Develop a high performing team through effective processes of recruitment, selection, training, delegation, coaching and performance management.
Qualifications
- 3 years of management experience and a degree in business or hospitality, or an equivalent combination
- Demonstrated ability to achieve business objectives
- High level of numeracy, oral and written communication ability, and ability to use technology
- A valid driver’s license is required.
