Our client is a well-established boutique law firm located in downtown Vancouver. On their behalf, we seek a part-time Human Resources Manager to support the firm’s Partners by managing the HR function, and acting as liaison and facilitator for various departments and stakeholders. As the ideal candidate for this role, you are an experienced law firm leader who is approachable, flexible, and reliable.

Responsibilities:
Overseeing firm operations and employee lifecycle, which includes:
- Full cycle recruitment and selection of staff
- Onboarding of new employees
- Conducting annual performance reviews and compensation analysis
- Addressing performance concerns as needed
- Administering benefits and leaves of absence
- Managing staff vacation time
- Overseeing terminations and departures
- Administering firm Policies and Procedures, and updating them as required in accordance with Employment Standards
- Running payroll in collaboration with Finance Director
- Assist Partners and Finance Director with day-to-day operations of the firm.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working in HR departments
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Canadian law firm
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution capabilities
- Superb leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Open and flexible attitude
Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation and total benefits package, and the expected annual salary range for this position is $80,000-110,000 (full-time equivalent; will be pro-rated to reflect part-time schedule).
