Job Description

Role: The Project Manager is responsible for assigned divisional projects. Manage and lead project teams; control project deployment schedule, deliver on agreed upon expectations on projects completion ensuring satisfied stakeholders and customers.


Responsibilities and Duties:


Project Management:

  • Manage and lead the project teams on assigned divisional projects
  • Take ownership through the development and monitoring of the Project Deployment Schedule
  • Define and build documented workflows
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Implement appropriate Project Change Management controls and documentation


Project Status Reporting:

  • Communicate any changes in the detailed project plan documentation
  • Provide frequent and regular Project status updates to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain and communicate project issues / resolution log
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Project Status Report


Asset inventory:

  • Complete project asset inventory of warehoused equipment
  • Complete monthly financial, hardware, resource forecasting
  • Review and approve project related invoices and monthly project bill files
  • Escalation, initiation and tracking:
  • Respond to all escalations promptly; Escalate to Director as required


Participate in Project Meetings:

  • Organize, schedule and facilitate weekly project meetings and weekly management meetings utilizing Project Meeting Agenda and Meeting Minutes documentation


Delivery:

  • Deliver Projects using company framework and policies of PMO
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed


Occupational Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset
  • 5 – 10 years Project Management-experience
  • Intermediate-Senior level experience in business strategy development and implementation
  • Demonstrated project management and planning skills. Experienced with formal project management methodologies. Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex / large projects with deadlines and deliverables with proven measurable results and multi-million-dollar impact
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex negotiations, managing supplier relationships and resolving supplier and contractual issues while preserving relationships
  • Professional Leader, Relationship builder with sound business acumen, Skilled in change management, Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
  • Results oriented. Team player, Ability to work independently
  • Proactive, Adaptable to changing needs, Strategic thinker
  • Proven strong problem solving skills
