Fia is a name customers count on for quality, innovation, design, precision and fit. Fia is searching for a General Manager who will contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.
The Role:
For a period of transition, the General Manager will work closely with the current president and the Director of Sales to learn all aspects of the business. With strong business acumen and above average emotional intelligence, this individual will inspire a collaborative, accountable and performance driven culture. The General Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operation of Fia, oversee production, monitor inventory levels, customer profitability and be a proven sales and operations leader. This role requires exceptional customer service and consistent interaction with the team.
The Responsibilities:
- Contribute to fostering a culture that values transparency, accountability, excellence, customer service and satisfaction
- Hold people accountable, provide coaching and training to employees and sales agents when needed
- Increase revenue by adding to the network of sales agents in Canada and the USA
- Strategically improve sales targets and sales processes to attract larger customers, diversify sales, create new products and additional distribution channels
- Utilize the ERP system to analyze productivity, set performance goals to meet revenue and cost targets, oversee and implement inventory strategy that deliver on seasonal demands
- Monitor and set production levels, understand inventory levels including back logs and lead times, adapt inventory levels to meet customer demand, ensure logistical processes are implemented seamlessly
- Raise brand awareness by increasing digital marketing presence, grow Fia’s digital brand presence and strategically expand the e-commerce platform
The Requirements:
- 8+ years track record of success with 4+ years leadership experience within a sales, production and manufacturing environment, experience with textiles and automotive accessories is an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of operations including finance, sales, production, inventory management and human resources, digital marketing, a true generalist
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret numerical data (financial and operational) effectively
- History of staying on top of industry trends, listening to the customer’s needs and identifying new products and new sectors in the market
- A team player, who consistently maximizes talent and expertise within the operation, thrives within a collaborative working environment, is results driven
- Experience growing e-commerce platforms and growing brand awareness online
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and competitive, demonstrates energy and a sense of urgency in executing day-to-day responsibilities
- Above average communicator with excellent organizational, interpersonal and time-management skills
- Superior excel skills, comfortable with pivot tables, able to analyze, interpret and act on data gathered from ERP system, experience with SYSPRO™ is an asset
- A natural relationship builder who brings creative thinking and a can do attitude, strong negotiation and follow-up skills, attends to the needs of the customer
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office 365, willingness to travel
